Since 1986 The Park Garden Trail has raised nearly £100k for charity. Our emphasis is donating to small, local charities (and not-for-profit organisations) that help the Nottingham/shire community.
Each PGT supports 10 small, local charities, which are requested to provide 10 volunteers to assist on the day. We will email our previous charity applicants in February 2023 to invite applications for PGT2023. If you would like your charity to be invited as well, please email us at info@parkgardentrail.org.
We were delighted to support these Charities in 2019:
Footprints Conductive Education Centre gives hope to a child with mobility and communication difficulties, and their parents. We equip them with the life skills to join in school and social activities. PGT support gives a child with additional needs a chance to be more independent.
City Arts is a community and participatory arts organisation that creates arts opportunities that bring people together, stimulate change and build stronger, healthier communities.
FunDays aims to improve the lives of children and young adults in Nottinghamshire who suffer from moderate to severe learning and or physical disability by supporting and providing facilities and services designed to provide fun friendship care and stimulation.
PASIC support families of children and young people with cancer at Nottingham Children’s Hospital with much needed emotional, practical, and social support.
PASIC help reduce isolation, increase self-confidence and strengthen the family unit through activities and trips for all the family. We give grants to families having difficulty coping with financial pressures of caring for a seriously ill child and compassionate grants to help pay funeral expenses.
Stonebridge is an inner-city farm and community charity, based in St Ann's. The farm has existed for over 40 years and through our operation we are (a) a visitor centre - where entrance remains free, and (b) a support, training and education centre. Our Mission is to Empower the Disadvantaged, Develop the Local Community and Protect the Environment.
The West Area Project (WAP) is a charity which has been based in Lenton since 1985. Our day service provides activities for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Our aims are to remain 'small and beautiful' and promote healthy living, physical activity and the use of mainstream community services.
Nottingham Oasis Breast Cancer Trust helps women in need who suffer from unexpected complications that arise after having breast cancer.
Windmill Community Garden aims to showcase "growing" in ways which are environmentally sound and minimum waste. We are a refuge for individuals with mental health or physical health problems and for those on the autistic spectrum. We also support our local school and community groups with themed visits to us and outreach.
Sharewear Clothing Scheme provides emergency clothing, shoes and bedding to people in Nottinghamshire currently in crisis.
PGT will be supporting MySight's 'My Guide' Service, which aims to reduce the loneliness and isolation that many people with sight loss experience; helping people rebuild their confidence, regain their independence and get more out of life.
... so every cream tea, garden plant or glass of fizz sold gives a little help to each of these charities.
