Where is the Park Garden Trail being held?
In the Nottingham Park Estate. Please come through any of the public entrances. Marshals will guide you to the ticketpoints, and to parking. Please see our Getting here / Contact us tab for more details and postcodes. What are the timings? From 1pm to 6pm on Sunday 11th June 2023. Ticketpoints open from 12.45pm. If you have purchased your ticket online in advance you will be emailed a map of the gardens a few days before PGT, to help you plan your route in advance. How much are tickets and where do I buy them? Tickets for adults are £7.50 each, youngsters 18 years of age and under go free! You can buy tickets on PGT day from one of our ticketpoints, using card or cash (our volunteer marshals will guide you to the nearest ticketpoint when you arrive, see Getting here / Contact us tab for more details). It would help us a lot if you could pay with exact change please! I have bought my ticket online, where do I collect it at PGT? An email will be sent to you a few days before PGT, with details of where to collect your ticket and programme, and also a map of the gardens that you will be able to access early. Where can I park in The Park? Parking is free to visitors on PGT day, between 11am and 6.30pm. As you drive into The Park, our volunteer marshals will guide you to the best places to park, as the roads start to fill. Please park before purchasing your ticket. Please do not park on double blue lines, and of course, not in front of residents' garages or driveways. Can food and drink be purchased at PGT? Yes there is a whole range of food and drink options! There are three tea gardens (at the Park Tennis Club on Tattershall Drive, South Road garden, and Cavendish Cres Sth garden), icecream at ActiveAce on Tattershall Drive, the strawberries and fizz garden at Newcastle Circus, and a range of stalls at Newcastle Circus. What activities and entertainment is there? At our two hubs, Tattershall Drive and Newcastle Circus there are
There is also art and music in some gardens, including the Red Hats Band. A schedule of entertainment will appear in your programme. What else will I need to pay for after I have bought my ticket? Activities and entertainments are free, although some providers may request a donation to cover their costs. As well as food and drink stalls, there is a mini farmers' market, and plant and artisan stalls - so please feel free to bring cash if you will be tempted to make a purchase! How accessible are The Park gardens, for people in wheelchairs or with mobility issues? The Park is built in a steep-sided valley and many of the gardens are accessed only by steps. However the programme marks which properties are definitely not accessible, and the activities in Newcastle Circus and Tattershall Drive are on flat ground. A free minibus will be circulating all day - please just flag down and hop on, and the driver will take you where you want to go (as long as it's in The Park, that is)! Are toilets provided? Portaloos (including one with disability access) are stationed at the top of South Road, beside Newcastle Circus. The Park Tennis Club, Squash Club and ActiveAce are also opening their toilets to PGT visitors (they all have disability access) Can I bring my dog? Dogs can come into The Park, but are not permitted in most of the communal garden areas such as Newcastle Circus. Each resident opening their garden will make their own decision about allowing dogs to enter, so please ask at the gate before you go in, and ensure they are on a short leash. Dogs are welcome at the Hart's Community Garden on Tattershall Drive (next to the Squash Club). Please bear in mind it is a very busy day with lots of people, and weigh up whether your dog and visitors will be comfortable with each other in confined spaces! |
